Delujo supports responsible recycling and environmental protection. If we sell electrical or electronic products, this policy explains how we handle waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and how you can recycle such products responsibly.

What Is WEEE?

Electrical and electronic equipment includes products that depend on electricity or batteries to function. These products can contain materials that are harmful if disposed of in general waste. UK legislation known as the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations requires such items to be treated, reused, and recycled properly to reduce environmental impact and protect natural resources. 

Products covered by WEEE may include small appliances, clocks, electronics with batteries, and similar items that rely on electric current or batteries to work. 

Why Recycle Electrical Items?

Recycling electrical and electronic equipment helps prevent hazardous substances from entering landfill and harming the environment. It also allows valuable materials to be reused. The WEEE Regulations aim to minimise the disposal of electrical waste and promote recycling and recovery. 

Some products are marked with a crossed‑out wheeled bin symbol to remind you not to dispose of them with household waste and to choose proper recycling channels instead.

How To Recycle Your Electrical Equipment

If you need to dispose of an old or broken electrical item that Delujo sold:

• You can take your WEEE products free of charge to your local recycling centre or designated collection point.

• Visit your local authority’s recycling website or portal to find the nearest recycling facility for electrical and electronic waste.

In the UK, many councils and recycling schemes provide facilities where you can drop off electrical waste responsibly without charge, supporting the goals of the WEEE Regulations.

Distributor Take‑Back Scheme

Retailers and distributors of electrical equipment may also participate in take‑back schemes to provide recycling solutions for customers. These schemes allow you to return waste electrical equipment when purchasing a new item of equivalent function where applicable under local regulations.
